What a week. Tuesday’s wind had trash cans rolling down the street, and now the rain’s here to keep things interesting. Classic South Bay, right?

Weather aside, there’s a lot to look forward to. Chris D’Elia is bringing his comedy to Torrance, there’s a super chill market in Redondo, and if the breeze picks up again, the Festival of the Kite might just be the perfect vibe. And if you haven’t tried Tammie’s Muffins yet, you’re seriously missing out on one of the South Bay’s best-kept secrets.

Celebrate the festival of colors with live music, organic colors, and delicious food. There's something for everyone—from 360° photo booths to a large sand dance floor. The Redondo Beach Pier is hosting its 50th annual Festival of the Kite this Sunday, and with all this wind lately, the timing couldn’t be better. If you haven’t been, it’s a good time—tons of colorful kites, laid-back vibes, and an excuse to spend the day at the beach. There’s live music, food, and fun competitions like “Most Beautiful Kite” and “Smallest Kite.” Plus, watching the pros do their kite demos is always a blast.
