My South Bay is a small newsletter site. This page is here because the subscribe form collects email addresses, including from people in California.

Who runs this site

My South Bay is a weekly newsletter for the South Bay beach cities, written by Jaime.

What we collect

The subscribe form asks for an email address. It does not ask for a name.

Signups go to the My South Bay Beehiiv list. Beehiiv sends a confirmation email before the address is added, when double opt-in is on for that form.

The site does not run Google Analytics or another analytics product. Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, such as the page requested, the browser, and the IP address.

How we collect it

You type an email into the signup form on the homepage, the events page, the run clubs page, or the farmers markets page. Submitting it sends the address to Beehiiv.

How we use it

The address is for the Thursday letter and related updates from My South Bay.

How we share it

We do not sell email addresses. We do not share them for someone else's marketing.

Beehiiv is the email provider and processes the address to send the letter. Beehiiv describes that in its privacy policy.

Cookies and Do Not Track

This site does not set its own tracking cookies. Vercel may process hosting data under its privacy policy. Sending a signup to Beehiiv may let Beehiiv collect data under its policy.

My South Bay does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser. Vercel and Beehiiv may collect data under their own policies.
